Summary: The story picks up where the previous OVA left off. Yonekuni discovers the truth that was hidden from him by both his brother, Kunimasa and his ‘friend’ Shiro. He then avoided Shiro, causing the latter to be depressed. However, Yonekuni is also confused by his own feelings towards Shiro.
Norio’s (protagonist from the OVA1) senior and former admirer faces his own love problems. Madararuis are not particular to the gender of their mate so male-male pairings are possible; hence his family buys a man who will allow him to bear the man’s offspring. This guy is someone he hasn’t met before yet he takes him by force on their first meeting!
Will all of them find their true love?
After the long wait, it’s finally released. Sex Pistols presents a rather unique plot by classifying humans based on their animal ancestry. This allows the characters to look for their mate based on their animal instincts. Even male pregnancy is possible.
The anime was straightforward. It does not delve into a more thorough explanation about Madararuis. Its story fast-forwards to the characters relationships. Yes, it’s good that the story is not kind of stuck up but it leaves some important note as well. I’m guessing the producers assumed that everyone who will watch this have read or at least have the slightest idea of what this is about. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case and summaries found online are not enough to explain the complexity of the story. It’s as if you were thrown into a loop and by the time you got used to it, you will be thrown to another one again.
Its plot focuses more on the relationships of the characters. It, then, developed a habit of presenting a new pairing even without concluding the previously presented pairing. Two (or three) pairings’ stories are being told simultaneously; switching from one to the other. Again, this makes the story a little more confusing. Not only the changing, the additional characters equals more names and characters to remember.

Once you got hold of the plot, it will become enjoyable already. Humor and drama play a big role here. The two are balanced accordingly; making it not overly humorous nor dramatic.

Love scenes are mostly implied, not shown. That is a little let down for the yaoi fans. However, it does not pose damage on the story so that’s forgivable. Moreover, if they give one pairing a love scene, they should as well give the others too. That will be a problem since the ova runs for only 25-30 minutes.
While the other two pairings (Shiro and Yonekuni; McBear and Kuma…something) both have a conclusive ending, the main pairing (Kunimasa and Norio) does not. Sure they are each others mates, but it was not mentioned that they have serious relationship. Their progress was not even implied.

I love what they did on the opening sequence. The chibified version of each character (more on Shiro and Yonekuni) gives a refreshing atmosphere. The tune is somewhat catchy as well.
Recommended? Absolutely… after you have read the manga. Don’t misunderstand me. The anime is good. But you’ll have a better understanding of it if you have at least read the first two volumes of it.
EDIT: Thanks to Nami-chan for pointing out my mistakes. ^^

They should. ^^ But I hope that’s enough to cover all the pairings in the story. ^^;;
