Digital Manga Publishing has announced plans sell copies of its 560 page Little Butterfly Omnibus manga volume at this year’s Yaoi-con, far in advance of the book’s February 15, 2010 street date. The Little Butterfly Omnibus will re-issue all three out of print volumes of Hinako Takanaga yaoi manga in a single $29.95 book.

Furthermore, in honor of artist Makoto Tateno’s attendance at this year’s Yaoi-con, Digital Manga will sell copies of Makoto Tateno’s Yellow Omnibus volume 1 and Yellow 2: Episode 1 manga at Yaoi-con, more than two weeks ahead of their official release date.

Yaoi-Con takes place over the Halloween weekend, October 30-November 1, in beautiful San Mateo, California.

The official website for the upcoming Anime Fuyu no Sonata television series has added an assortment of streaming trailers. The anime is an adaptation of the popular 2002 Korean live action romantic drama Winter Sonata (Gyeoul Yeonga). Original actors Bae Yong Jun and Choi Ji Woo will reprise their roles from the live action drama in the anime adaptation, so it does look like the series will air on Japanese television with Korean dialogue and Japanese subtitles. The anime series will premiere on October 17.

First, I thought that it will be shown in this year Spring season. Then, it was moved to Summer. Now, it will be finally in the Fall list. ^_^

The first trailer of the upcoming yaoi OVA series, Sex Pistols is now streaming in Animate.tv.

The sixth collected volume of girls volleyball manga series, Shoujo Fight, by Yoko Nihonbashi will be released on October 23. It will be in a standard edition and a limited edition including an original anime dvd.

Sanpei Shirato will be launching his first new Kamui Gaiden ninja manga story in nine years on September 25. That is when the October 10th issue of Shogakukan’s Big Comic magazine will ship in Japan.

The ninth issue of Hakusensha’s Young Animal Island magazine confirmed on Friday that Tomochika Miyano will resume the Yubisaki Milk Tea romantic comedy manga after a three-year break. The story follows a boy who filled in for his older sister as a bridal gown model, only to discover that he likes cross-dressing.

Shunju Aono is returning to his I’ll Give It My All…Tomorrow (Ore wa Mada Honki Dashitenai Dake) manga in the November issue of Shogakukan’s Monthly Ikki magazine on September 25. The manga began in 2007 as the story of a Japanese salaryman who quit his day job to pursue his manga-drawing dreams — only to fall short of his goals.

Out of these three returning manga, Milk Tea caught my attention. It looks really interesting. I might read it when I have lots of free time.. ^_^

An early copy of the October issue of Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine has revealed that the new Shugo Chara Party! television program will have anime and live-action segments. (The October issue will officially ship on September 3.) The main segment of the new program will be the Shugo Chara!!! Dokki Doki anime, which the magazine describes as a power-up of the ongoing Shugo Chara!! Doki— anime adaptation of Peach-Pit’s Shugo Chara! manga. A new character named Rikka will appear.

The new program will also include Shugo Chara Pucchi Puchi! anime shorts. Super-deformed versions of the characters Ran, Miki, and Su will star in these shorts. Shugo Chara!! Doki— director Kenji Yasuda will continue to oversee both Shugo Chara!!! Dokki Doki and Shugo Chara Pucchi Puchi! at the Satelight anime studio.

In addition to the anime, Shugo Chara Party! will have regular appearances by the Shugo Chara Egg! female idol group as program hosts. However, the group will have a new lineup: Mizuki Fukumura as Amulet Heart, Akari Saho as Amulet Spade, and Irori Maeda as Amulet Clover. An open audition will be held for the fourth member, Amulet Diamond. The winner of the audition, which is open to unsigned girls in elementary and junior high schools, will perform as part of the group and appear on the Shugo Chara Party! program. The group will sing the theme song of Shugo Chara!!! Dokki Doki as well.

A “Pilot Edition” of the anime will ship on DVD or Blu-ray Disc (BD) on September 30. The Pilot Edition will bundle a CD single with a new recording of the song’s “live perfomance” version, as well as a booklet with image sketches for the anime.

The TBS Anime Festa 2009 event has announced on Saturday that a television anime adaptation of Konami’s Ōkamikakushi adventure game for the Sony PSP console has been green-lit.

The TBS Anime Festa 2009 event has announced on Saturday that production on a third season of the Hidamari Sketch anime series, Hidamari Sketch x ☆☆☆ (“Hoshi Mittsu”), has been green-lit.

This is the official site for Mahoromatic: Tadaima Okaeri Anime. It will be a two-part television special edition scheduled to premiere on the BS-TBS satellite and cable channel which will be shown on October 17 and 24. It will be followed by a DVD and Blu-ray Disc release on December 23.

Kodansha launched a website announcing the two-episode Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei Bangaichi OAD series.

The first Original Anime DVD will be bundled with limited edition copies of the 19th volume of Koji Kumeta’s Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei manga, scheduled for Japanese release on November 17.

This week’s Japanese release of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei manga volume 18 is available in a limited edition that includes a DVD featuring a collection of Zetsubou Sensei anime opening and ending animation sequences and a preview of the upcoming OAD.

On the October issue of Hakusensha’s Lala Magazine, it was said that this work of Hiro Fujiwara will finally have its anime adaptation. No other information has been revealed, though.
